Proposal for variation to the admissions arrangements for September 2022

During the COVID19 pandemic, churches and other religious buildings have been closed by law for public worship and for other uses. Since the school’s oversubscription criteria include church attendance, a request to the Office of the Schools Adjudicator (OSA) for a variation in the school's admissions arrangements has been made.

The requested variation is outlined in section 6.6 of Arundel Church of England's School Admissions Arrangements. These will be the admission arrangements that the school will use, in anticipation of the approval from the OSA.

Arundel Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School is a Church of England school in the Diocese of Chichester and is maintained by West Sussex LA.

The school provides a distinctively Christian education for children aged 4+ to 11 years, with priority being given to children who live and worship within the ecclesiastic parish of Arundel and South Stoke.

The criteria for 2022/23 admissions is available within our School Admissions Arrangements.

Arundel Church of England Primary School has an intake of 30 pupils each year and operates within the School Admissions Policy of West Sussex County Council which can be found here: Admission

Applications for a school place, whether 'starting school' for the first time, or an in-year transfer between schools, must be made directly through the West Sussex County Council Admissions Team. We also ask that you complete and return to us an Arundel Church of England supplementary information form.
