Summer Term 2022
Sadly, it is our last term in Year 6, but we still have lots of exciting things to do before we leave ACE.
In our English lessons, we will be working on persuasive writing linked to our ‘Planet Earth’ area of study. We are going to choose an environmental issue that is important to us and create a website with a campaign linked to it.
For 'Geography Matters' week, we will be studying our town, Arundel. This will help us investigate the issues surrounding the proposed Arundel bypass.
We will be swimming every week at the Lido and getting ready for 'The Hope Games' (our Sports Day).
In RE, we will be investigating the idea of life as a journey - that people often seek answers to questions of identity, belonging, meaning, purpose and truth through religious beliefs.
In Art, we will be making nature sculptures – or ephemeral art – in the style of artist Andy Goldsworthy.
In DT, we will be working on our sewing skills.
All of this, alongside a production of The Lion King Jr!
More information on this term's topic can be found in our curriculum booklet.
