At Arundel Church of England Primary School, our aim is to ensure that we provide maximum opportunity to every pupil to excel, irrespective of identity, race, cultural tradition or community experience. Through our contacts with the wider community, children get opportunities to broaden their horizons.
As part of this all teachers plan differentiated learning for all children. We provide a wide and varied curriculum to ensure all children enjoy learning and have the opportunities to develop their gifts and talents. Some examples of opportunities pupils have had this year to develop their abilities have been:
- Writing workshops with published authors
- Representing the school in various sporting activities as part of the LASP (Littlehampton Locality of schools)
- Performing in choirs at a range of ventures, including the O2, Arundel Castle and to local clubs
- Participating in inter-school maths challenges
- Peripatetic music lessons in keyboards, singing and drums
