Year 1 - Dove Class

Autumn 2023

Welcome back to the Autumn term in Dove Class.

We have lots of fun and exciting learning opportunities  planned for this term that will enable the children to transition into Year 1 with confidence. We will be sharing the story 'Harry the Happy Mouse' by N.G.K and 'The Highway Rat' by Julia Donaldson and providing rich writing opportunities around these texts. We will step into the Year 1 maths curriculum following Power Maths, delve into the History of Toys over time and explore Seasonal Change and Everyday Materials in Science. We will be making the most of the fresh air and our fantastic school grounds by enjoying some outdoor learning experiences too across the term and through our Geography work! 

We hope you are as excited as we are to get started and we are very excited to see you all grow and flourish in Year 1.
